Today I take you behind the scenes in this quick short video, how I set up the shoot for some b-roll. Our product today is the Rode video mic pro. This is just a test shoot, I will be shooting several audio products and hence this setup.

Step one – Visit the Rode website, Instagram and see their colour scheme, style, etc.

Step two – Use that colour scheme in the shoot to keep things harmonious.

Step three – Use ideas, skills learned in past to create an interesting composition

Step four – Introduce movement in the frame, either by moving the camera or the product. In this test shot I am just moving the camera, however, in the final shoot, the product will also be moving on a turntable.
